We have a not-exactly-full-size sand volleyball court on our property with lights. That means you can play on it any ol’ time you want to.
Lawn Jam Tournament
We sport a volleyball tournament during our Lawn Jam, the guidelines for which change each year. Please contact us on ourcommunityplace@gmail.com or call our event coordinator at 540/705-7361 for more on this.
Rules for the tournament may differ from the general ones used for the OCP court below. Check with the event coordinator for more on this.
Rule #1: Have Fun
* Invite others to play.
* Put a smile on your face.
* Dive into the sand.
* Compete fairly.
* Encourage others.
Rule #2: Be a Good Sport
* Clean up lines before starting.
* Count line in.
* Call score before serving.
* Accept what other team calls and play on.
* Roll ball under net between points.
* Blame not another, nor criticize.
* Shake hands after game.
Rule #3: Points
* Only serving team scores.
* Game is to 15, must win by two.
Rule #4: Serve
* Serve until you get it in (on your first go on the court).
* Replay net serves (twice only).
Rule #5: Play
* Kick ball during point if you want.
* Hit ball with your head (or other parts of body).
